Inner Eden hit you with a catchy blend of brutality and beauty, combining elements of melodic, thrash and death metal, the cutting edge mixed with the traditional bringing something new to today’s metal scene.
Hailing from London, UK the band were formed in 2008 by guitarist and song writer Jay 'The Machine' Murphy, drummer John Rae (Wykked Wytch and Ex-Cradle of Filth drum tech) and guitarist Paul ‘PJ’ Williams with the idea of building a band based on traditional metal foundations with a vast soundscape of diversity. The band expanded with the addition of Hans Stiles (Dark Heresy, Obsidian (UK), Neoentity, Without Cause) on bass and Adrian Carloss on Keyboards, samples and backing vocals. Aide came to the band from ‘Hostile’ where he worked under the watchful eye of K.K. Downing (Judas Priest) as the bands lead vocalist, also playing keys on the track Avenger from their first album.
The band was finally completed with the addition of Christina Gajny on Vocals (previously Interlock’s vocalist). Christina has toured Europe and the USA with her previous band and brings with her a maturity and strength both in her writing and vocally, previously missing from the band. The band are set to record a new E.P. in the coming months, having recorded previously with Dan Sprigg (who has in the past worked with Cradle of Filth, Napalm Death, Bring me the Horizon and Lost Prophets), and had Tim Turan (Emperor, At the Gates, Obituary, Motorhead and many more) master the early recordings of the band, Inner Eden are keen to ensure the new E.P, will pack a similarly powerful punch.
Having already shared the stage with bands such as Edguy, Anihilated, White Wizard, Power Quest and Esoterica, and armed collectively with years of International touring experience, extensive professional studio time and having graced stages at prestigious events such as Hellfest, Download and Bloodstock, Inner Eden aim to use their line up of impressive pedigree and experience to break the boundaries of what we now know to be ‘female fronted metal’. With a brutal and uncompromising live show Inner Eden are winning new fans with every performance and are set to continue this as they tour the UK and Europe over the coming year. Reviews
"It certainly rocks! The ferocity gels well with the heavy sound and for a debut release, these compositions are all right. The start is a malicious fist in your face. 75/100" Ivan, Tribal Concrete Web
"A powerful assault of hard kicking riffs and punches that hit you right in the stomach. Inner Eden have the capability to move up into the next league." Mark Taylor, GetReadyToRock.com
"Inner Eden grace the stage in front of a crowd who are not quite ready for what they have to offer. The opener can be labeled particularly brutal, working within the stretched confines of extreme metal. Measuring up to the prowess of the bold groove/thrash Inner Eden perpetuate, not to mention the accompanying growls the group can be commended for doing something different." Elena Francis
"An alternative rock act, with a real axe to grind, cleverly disguising progressive chaos with bittersweet female vocals - Inner Eden are bound to leave a lasting impression”. Chloe XFM Rock Show
"Inner Eden are simply awesome. A perfect blend of melody, aggression, harmony and brutality. They played one of the best sets I have seen in a long time" Stu, London Promoter
"Ferociously-charged-female-thrashy-metal-power led by the fantastic vocals of Christina. Band members are no strangers to the underground circuit, racking up a few miles of stage appearances between them. The signs are very promising for Inner Eden who are destined to turn heads for the rest of 2010" Nix, Pure Rawk & TotalRock
"A blend of sensibly furious riffs and thunderous drum patterns....the crowd respond positively to the newly considered up comer’s, who may well gain a highly-voiced reputation in coming months." Daniel Gray, Sound Shock
“…like an iron fist covered in a silk glove, melodic thrash that takes you buy the plums then squeezes harder" Mike Clark, Hard Rock House (HRH)
