It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce that Inner Eden is no more.

It has been a long but fun journey – with both ups and downs, and we have met and partied with some great people over the last few years.

But unfortunately all good things must come to end – there is no big story, and no major drama – but it has been increasingly hard to find members with the dedication and drive that is similar to the direction the band wish to go in – and with several line up changes, and timing seemingly never on our side we have decided to call this a day.

Inner Eden started as a bedroom project 4 years ago by Jay and a couple of close friends with the aim of creating a metal band with a bit of a difference. We loved the unique slant that female vocals gave to metal, but were less than impressed with the predictable imagery, overly polished sound, clichéd gothic style and everything else that typified female fronted metal bands. Sometimes we got things right and sometimes we got them wrong – But we have been lucky enough to play with some fantastic bands at some great venues and festivals – so for that we will always be thankful.

I know this will come as a big shock to many of you, especially with the new vocals, video and audio – but we are all tired and worn down from trying to get things moving – and with as many set backs that have befallen the band we feel now is the time to go our separate ways.

When Christina joined the band earlier this year we really thought this was it and we set to work bringing old songs up to date and writing new material. Unfortunately, due to musical, personal differences and other reasons, Christina earlier this week announced her intention to leave the band.

The rest of us discussed the best thing to do and we’ve decided that after 4 years, 3 vocalists, 3 bass players, 2 guitarist and 2 keyboard players enough is enough. There is no animosity, and the entire band remains very close friends and most will no doubt continue down their own music paths and outlets.

A huge thank-you to all our fans, friends and supporters alike, who have tirelessly helped and supported the band – you all mean so much to us and hope you understand our reasons

Anyway, you know what the Metal scene is like. We’ll probably reform in 10 years.

so signing out for the last time – Jay, PJ, John, Hans and Ade.
